Parts
One But Many
One God, many faces.
One family, many races.
One truth, many paths.
One heart, many complexions.
One light, many reflections.
One world, many imperfections.
ONE.
We are all one,
But many.” Suzy Kassem
My mind exploded when I realized I was made of parts. Each part runs a personal agenda hoping to make it right. If that part takes over, eventually, something will go out of balance, and that part will no longer be able to hold all strings. And then, another part comes in and takes over. If consciousness were a stage, the unconscious would be an invisible script-writer prompting parts to act or hide behind the curtain.
In the audience, one witness.
Compassionate Self
Acknowledging each and every part
For doing the best they can.
Softly, gently
Letting all be revealed.
May each part be healed.
May all come together as One.
